BCT is looking to recruit Trustees:

• Reasonable travel costs and expenses are payable
• Location: Wembley, Middlesex (London Borough of Brent)

Job Description

Brent Community Transport (BCT) is a registered charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee, which has provided affordable and accessible transport to the community since 1975. Typical services include community car schemes, community self-drive minibus hire, large bus services, school transport, hospital transport, dial-a-ride, and group hire services in one of the capital’s most diverse borough.

The Trustees play an active and central role in the governance of the charity and shape the long term strategy of the organisation. Brent Community Transport is taking the opportunity to extend the number and range of the Board of Trustees by the appointment of two or more trustees to bring additional skills, which will help the organisation to expand its activities and services to some of the most disadvantaged clients in the borough, affected by cuts in local government grants, which affects the mobility of these people.

You will have a good understanding of charity governance issues and charity law. The position is subject to us receiving satisfactory references, a satisfactory enhanced DBS, completion and receiving required documents & forms.
