It was reported in the People Management Magazine that “Older workers that lie about their degree qualification to get a new job or promotion are more likely to get away with it as CV checks for this group are often overlooked, figures have revealed”
Jayne Rowley, leader of the HEDD initiative at graduate careers and jobs website Graduate Prospects, said: “Graduates who are further on in their career have more opportunity to blatantly lie, exaggerate or bend the truth a little more than their more recent counterparts simply because they are not being checked out.” (PM Editorial – 7th April 2014)
