Increase in rates and tribunal award limits
This has moved from February to April and, as a result of now being index-linked, a week’s gross pay for calculating a redundancy payment or the basic award for unfair dismissal purposes is now capped at £464 rather than £450 previously. The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal has also increased to £76,974 (or one year’s gross pay if less).
