Firms employing illegal immigrants could be closed temporarily.

The government has threatened to close firms that employ illegal immigrants as part of its crack down on unscrupulous employers. These measures follow a warning from Brokenshire earlier this month that that rogues employers would be “hit from all angles”. Click for further information

Section 56 Data Protection Act 1998 prohibits an employer from requiring an individual or third party to provide information that the individual or third party has obtained in response to a subject access request under s.7 of the Data Protection Act 1998.
